Purpose

This is a newly created role with SYSPRO Australia. You have a chance to work with Executive team to build a new structure. If you like a challenge and have a good understanding of channel microcosm this is the role for you. To be considered you need to have a proven success record in recruiting, onboarding and nourishing new partners.

The Channel Sales Manager is responsible for execution of a channel sales plan in the region that meets or exceeds the targets through both current and new channel partners. Specific tasks include management of channel business developers, implementation and oversight of the Global channel program and strategy in the region, partner communications and relationships, lead management in the region, supporting deals to ensure closure, and working with internal teams to help focus resources to drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities 

  • Develop a channel sales plan for the region that will meet or exceed the targets for the region
  • Plan and allocate budget spend in the channel
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in the region through the Channel Partners
  • Coach, Guide and manage the Channel Developers
  • Run Channel sales meetings and produce sales forecasts for the region
  • Oversee and manage all channel sales initiatives. Ensure that Channel developers track pipeline and close deals for specific agreed upon revenue goals. Provide guidance and assistance where needed to both Channel Business Developers and partners to close business
  • Execute global strategies in the region relating to sales
  • Guide Channel Developers on the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet partner performance objectives, and partners’ expectations.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies and validates partner needs in the region on an ongoing basis.
  • Guide Channel business developers in handling potential channel conflict with other sales channel partners by fostering excellent communications internally and externally, and through strict adherence to SYSPRO’s rules of channel engagement.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address end-user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel.
  • Ensures partner compliance with partner agreements.
  • Drives adoption of company programs among assigned partners.
  • Oversee the recruitments and qualification of new potential partners for the region
  • To set a framework within the region on how to utilize the pre-sales team within the company in establishing needs

 Qualification/Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably business, commerce)

Experience

  • At least 4 years of channel experience at Senior level, preferably with ERP
  • 3 + years of ERP Experience
  • Manufacturing/logistics experience
  • Strong execution & implementation experience
  • Good track record in Channel Sales Management and Channel development
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills

Purpose

To ensure optimal profitable operation and continuing development of Professional Services Group, Support Team and Project Management Office in Australia while delivering exceptional professional services to the SYSPRO Australia Partner and Customer base, including internal customers. Assist Executive Team in reducing costs and increasing efficiencies within Professional Services Group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To direct the development and maintenance of plans, practices and assignments to identify, quantify and contain the occurrence and potential impact of risks and risk events on the execution of a project and its likelihood of success.
  • To exercise overall day-to-day control of project implementation and the resources of the projects, balancing the needs for implementation success with the skills and capabilities of the staff.
  • To implement and lead an effective project change management process that pro-actively identifies project changes and incorporates an appropriate impact analysis and approval for such changes across the PSG (Australia) team.
  • To work closely with National Sales Manager Australia, Support Manager APAC and CFO APAC to ensure smooth transition of projects from pre-sales to scope, to implementation to support.
  • Responsible for making timely, effective decision at the project level and communicating those decisions both up and down the project structure, while approaching needed decisions in a logical and thoughtful manner and weighing conflicting information.
  • To work with the PSM on developing processes and tools for PSG SYSPRO (Australia), both internally and externally, for producing maximum value to all stakeholders with efficient use of resources.
  • Assist Finance Manager and GM in preparation of annual operational budget, manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
  • Pro-actively manage consulting resource capacity, billing performance and revenue to targets.
  • Manage quality, development and innovation of Consulting, Education and Support services to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Formally feedback and manage job performance of subordinates.
  • To exercise overall day-to-day control of project implementation and the resources of the projects, balancing the needs for implementation success with the skills and capabilities of the staff.
  • To implement and lead an effective project change management process that pro-actively identifies project changes and incorporates an appropriate impact analysis.
  • Work with the GM to mitigate the risks during a project implementation and constantly evaluate its likelihood of success.
  • Identify opportunities for SYSPRO APAC to leverage cross-program strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or address organizational challenges.

 SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 Management

  • Pro-actively manage consulting resource capacity, billing performance and revenue to targets
    • Together with the HR Manager recruit PSG staff in Australia including Succession & relief planning
    • Responsible for Services cost effectiveness (Australia)
    • To achieve overall consultancy utilisation as set up in the budget
  • Encourage and manage development of services staff
    • Supervise, provide formal feedback and manage performance of Consultants, Project Managers, Solution Architect and Support Manager in Australia
    • Lead and mentor the team
    • Together with HR Manager develop training programs and plans for PSG staff in Australia
  • Manage quality, development and innovation of consulting, education and support services
    • Develop processes and tools for PSG SYSPRO (Australia), both internally and externally, for producing maximum value to all stakeholders with efficient use of resources.
    • Manage call desk processes, resources and services to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Develop and implement a system for tracking and reporting on the progress of the company strategic plan.

Projects

  • Exercise overall day-to-day control of project implementation from planning through to go-live, and the resources of the projects, balancing the needs for implementation success with the skills and capabilities of the staff.
  • Implement and lead an effective project change management process that pro-actively identifies project changes and incorporates an appropriate impact analysis and approval for such changes across the PSG (Australia) team.
  • Work closely with National Sales Manager Australia, Support Manager APAC and GM to ensure smooth transition of projects from pre-sales to scope, to implementation and to support.
  • Responsible for making timely, effective decision at the project level and communicating those decisions both up and down the project structure, while approaching required decisions in a logical and thoughtful manner and weighing conflicting information.
  • Work closely with National Sales Manager to ensure Implementation achievability and success
  • Oversee project scope, priorities, deadlines, deliverables schedule including project reporting to customers at a high level.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure optimum allocation and utilization of resources.
  • Monitoring all estimates of time and services of new projects
  • Responsible for negotiating services agreements and sub-contractors – Subject to approval from GM
  • Interact regularly across various departments to negotiate solutions that foster strong relationships and continued success of the project.
  • To institute and oversee a formal Project Management methodology
  • Handover of projects to Support APAC
  • Post-Implementation Analysis

 Product

  • Supervise the team responsible for all new product release in the following areas:
    • testing and establishing a training program to roll out to all staff.
    • ensuring defined and applied standards to products are adhered to

 Consulting (Direct and Indirect):

  • Manage services and staff to become trusted advisors via:
    • Solution Consulting: for implementations of SYSPRO new/complex modules and for specific project assistance or joint work with Partners including Quality Assurance and Project Management
    • Development Services: to extend standard SYSPRO using SYSPRO approved development tools (e.NET, SQL etc) to increase fit to enterprise customer business process needs
    • Specialist Services: to check proposed SYSPRO business solutions prior to proposal to customer to identify and recommend mitigation of risks, plus to assist in optimisation of the use of SYSPRO at customer sites

 SYSPRO Implementation framework:

  • Champion appropriate widespread adoption of SYSPRO IDEAL implementation methodology in SYSPRO and Partner projects

Education and Training (Internal)

  • Ensuring certified and competent users within SYSPRO Australia community
  • Enabling on-site standard and custom course delivery

 Support

  • Work with the Support Manager to:
    • Ensure telephone and on-line support to approved Partners
    • Enable an environment for testing issues on customer data
    • Provision of paid-for contract support direct to customers

 Qualification/Minimum Requirements

  • Essential
    • Business-related Degree
    • Solid understanding of the ERP marketplace, its product offerings and technology (Min. 5 years)
    • SYSPRO Knowledge and experience at least 2 years
    • Experience managing a large team (over 10 direct reports)
    • Customer relations management experience at C-level
    • Profit conscious in a management role
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Strong written & verbal skills
    • Project management and implementation experience
    • Demonstrated ability to analyse business needs and convert these into a technology based solution
